Conventional plastic lids in contrast are made from oil, which is finite. The cup lids are 100% compostable and biodegradable. You can dispose of them with your food waste and have everything collected together to be taken to a composting facility. There the coffee cup lids biodegrade into compost in under 12 weeks!
